About Imran Hussain

Imran is the founder of Cordoba Consulting, with over 29 years of experience in digital transformation, service design, and customer / user experience (UX) strategy. Throughout his career, he has enabled governments, businesses, and tech startups to create world-class digital products and services.

He provides strategic advisory and consulting services across multiple industries, with recent engagements including the Federal Board of Revenue (Government, Taxation), Next Capital (Finance, Investment Banking), and Intech (Industrial Process Automation).

Imran partners with CEOs, senior executives, and technology leaders to reimagine digital services, customer experiences and create measurable impact. His focus is on helping organizations achieve transformation by addressing complex business challenges with human-centered design, innovation, and strategic execution.

Prior to founding Cordoba Consulting, Imran held senior leadership roles in the technology sector where he built and scaled high-performing design and innovation teams. At Systems Limited, he served as VP of Design & User Experience, where he established the company’s first dedicated UX department and Studio 77 design practice. He was also a founding member of OneLoad, a B2B digital payments platform now widely used across Pakistan, and launched System Limited's open-source software development team. Earlier, Imran worked in management positions at Confiz Solutions and Xavor Corporation, where he led key projects in software services and digital solutions.

Alongside his industry leadership, Imran has contributed to academia and research. At the University of Management and Technology, he founded a multi-disciplinary Interaction Design Center and directed projects funded by the National ICT R&D Fund (IGNITE). As an educator, he is recognized as a pioneer in UI/UX and Human–Computer Interaction (HCI) in Pakistan. Since 2005, he has delivered a 45-episode nationally televised HCI course through Virtual University, which continues to serve as a foundational resource for students nationwide. He has also taught as a visiting lecturer at numerous institutions.

Originally from the UK, Imran currently resides in Lahore, Pakistan. He holds an MSc in Business Information Technology from the University of West of Scotland and a BEng (Hons) in Chemical Engineering from the University of Strathclyde.
